ABC's 40ft containers come in new (single trip) and used (ex-lease) stock. New units are grade 8–10 - barely a mark on them, straight off a single trip from overseas. Used containers are graded on our 1–10 scale; grade depends on the specific unit.
Grade 10 is our best - we count up, not down. If you're buying and want to see exactly what you're getting before the container ships, just ask. We'll send through photos of your specific unit before delivery.

01 What’s the difference between a 40ft standard and 40ft high cube?
A 40ft high cube is about 30cm taller than a standard 40ft container — 2.9 metres external height versus approximately 2.6 metres. The length and width are the same. ABC’s 40ft range is predominantly high cube. High cube suits tall items, extra stacking room, and any fit-out where headroom matters.
01 How is a 40ft container delivered?
A 40ft container is delivered by side-loader — the truck parks alongside the placement zone and lowers the container from the side using hydraulic arms. You’ll need room for the truck to position itself parallel to where the container is going. On difficult sites, a Franna crane is the alternative.
